The roots of Grace United Church extend back to the mid 1800’s when Rev. George Jacques established a Methodist Church in 1857 in Hanover. The present church building is a traditional early 1900’s church design, well maintained and upgraded to meet the changing needs of the congregation.
Attached to the church is a Christian Education Building consisting of a large open room used as a gymnasium for group activities, and formerly used for Sunday School rooms. There is a well-equipped nursery in the lower level. The C.E. Hall includes a large sized renovated kitchen that is located on the ground floor.
Church offices and a meeting room are located on the second level. A lift was installed to give better access to the church sanctuary.
A high quality sound system is available. A large drop-down screen and Power Point projector were also purchased and are used weekly.
The majority of Grace United Church members are middle aged and senior with a variety of backgrounds and interests.
